Terms of Service
Last updated: May 19, 2026
These terms govern your use of SearchSteward (the "Service"). By creating an account you agree to them. The Service is currently in private beta; behavior, limits, and pricing may change. Read these alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your account and for keeping your credentials secure. One account per person. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to violate any law, third-party right, or platform terms.
- Submit applications, outreach, or generated materials that are false, harassing, or impersonating another person.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse rate limits.
- Connect third-party accounts (Gmail, Calendar) you are not authorized to use.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
3. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third-party providers (Google, OpenAI, Stripe, Zoho, Railway, PostHog, and others described in the Privacy Policy). Their terms govern your use of those services. We are not responsible for outages or behavior of third-party providers.
4. AI-generated content
Resumes, cover letters, outreach drafts, negotiation playbooks, and scoring outputs are generated by large language models. They are drafts. You are responsible for reviewing them for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness before sending, submitting, or sharing. We do not warrant that AI outputs are correct, complete, or fit for any purpose.
5. Beta status; changes
The Service is offered "as-is" during beta. Features may be added, changed, or removed. We may pause or terminate the beta and will give reasonable notice where practical.
6. Fees
The current beta is free. If we introduce paid plans, pricing and refund terms will be described at checkout and in our Refunds Policy. You will not be charged without explicit consent.
7. Termination
You can close your account at any time from Settings → Privacy. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, or wind down the beta. On termination, data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or opportunity. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the minimum permitted by law.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence still apply.
